About The Position

The Lab Chemist III (ICPMS Clean Room Chemist III) is a senior-level laboratory leader responsible for overseeing ICPMS laboratory operations, technical performance, personnel development, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position serves as the primary technical resource for the department, providing operational leadership, data-driven decision support, and strategic direction to ensure laboratory excellence and business objectives are achieved. We are open to this role working on our Day Shift (M-f, 6am-2:30pm) or Swing Shift (M-F, 2pm-10:30pm)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Science, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Chemist, Laboratory Specialist, or equivalent analytical laboratory role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading laboratory operations and technical teams.
  • Expert knowledge of ICPMS instrumentation, maintenance, and analytical methodologies.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
  • Advanced data analysis, trending, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and operational leadership for the ICPMS laboratory.
  • Supervise daily workflow, staffing priorities, and shift execution.
  • Monitor laboratory performance metrics, instrument health, and operational trends.
  • Lead investigations and corrective actions related to quality, process, or equipment issues.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for ICPMS operations, maintenance, and analytical methods.
  • Develop and implement laboratory improvement initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Create, maintain, and standardize SOPs, training programs, and best practices.
  • Partner with engineering, production, and management to support business objectives.
  • Represent the laboratory in cross-functional meetings, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
  • Act as the designated laboratory leader during emergencies, shutdowns, or manager absence.
