About The Position

Eurofins Environment Testing is hiring a Laboratory Analyst to support its Wet Chemistry team at the Tinley Park, Illinois site. The analyst prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques and scientific and environmental protection methodologies, in compliance with Eurofins programs and standard operating procedures. The role works under close supervision using routine and standard methods and may involve training and demonstrating competency with complex laboratory instrumentation and instrument-specific data systems.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of previous laboratory exposure or experience.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• A BS or BA in chemistry or a related field is preferred.
• Previous production-oriented work is helpful, including awareness of and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience preparing samples using standard techniques.
• Experience performing chemical analysis using standard techniques.
• Experience calculating data.
• Experience recording and reporting data and unusual test occurrences to a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and promote the company vision.

• Become trained and competent on complex instrumentation, including gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument-specific data systems.

• Aliquot and weigh samples.
• Wash glassware.
• Conduct all activities safely and efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
