Laboratory Analyst

CANPACK Group•Muncie, IN

About The Position

The Laboratory Analyst serves as a two-way information conduit to internal teams, performing laboratory testing of moderate to high complexity, documenting results, and providing accurate and valid data analysis. The role tests and analyzes products to determine causes of failure, verify compliance with specifications and warranty eligibility, and assess beverages for suitability in CANPACK cans. The analyst conducts chemistry, chemical, compatibility, metallurgical, and electrochemical testing, operates analytical instruments, and independently manages day-to-day metallurgical evaluation testing and moderately complex laboratory problems. The role supports laboratory operations, coordinates equipment calibration and maintenance, updates inspection and test procedures, and works with Labs, QA, R&D, Operations, Technical Development, and Technical Service teams. The analyst communicates technical results and customer requirements, identifies where additional analysis is needed, establishes laboratory best practices, and contributes to training and laboratory safety. The work takes place in a manufacturing environment that can become very hot depending on the weather and requires mobility across an expansive manufacturing environment.
