About The Position

Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice in the New York, NY office. The practice represents clients nationwide in employment litigation, counseling, and training, providing counsel across dozens of jurisdictions. The role offers the opportunity to assume a significant role in all aspects of labor and employment law. It involves extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel. The attorney will handle litigation tasks including drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. The position requires strong writing and analytical abilities, independence, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The stated annual salary range is USD $145,000 to $200,000. Requirements

Admission to practice in New York.
At least 1 to 7 years of experience in employment law matters.
Prior employment litigation experience.
New York wage and hour experience.
Strong writing and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfort with drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions.

Nice To Haves

Employment litigation and New York wage and hour experience preferably on the management side.
Employment counseling or in-house employment law experience.
