About The Position

Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice in the Portland, Oregon office. The practice represents clients nationwide in employment litigation, counseling, and training. The role offers the opportunity to take a significant role across labor and employment matters and involves extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel. The successful candidate will handle litigation tasks including drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. The attorney will work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Attorneys with substantive litigation experience in another area and a demonstrated interest in labor and employment law are also encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Admission to practice law in Oregon.
Two to seven years of experience in employment law matters is sought.
Prior employment litigation experience is required, preferably on the management side.
Strong writing and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in labor and employment law may qualify developing attorneys, even without employment-law experience.
