About The Position

Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice in its Fort Lauderdale, Florida office. The practice represents clients nationwide in employment litigation, counseling, and training across numerous jurisdictions. The role offers an opportunity to take a significant part in all aspects of labor and employment law and involves extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel.

The successful candidate will handle litigation work including drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. Candidates should be proactive, able to work independently and collaboratively, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The firm is also interested in talented developing attorneys with substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in labor and employment law.

Requirements

• Admission to practice law in Florida.
• Three to five years of experience in employment law matters is sought.
• Prior employment litigation experience is required, preferably on the management side.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Alternatively, candidates with substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in labor and employment law are invited to apply.
