About The Position

Ogletree Deakins is seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic and long-established practice, representing premier local and national employers. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in employment and labor law, with expertise in labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, collective bargaining, union campaigns, and related areas. Traditional labor work is a key component of this role. In addition, the candidate will have the opportunity to be part of our expanding employment litigation defense practice, taking on a significant role in litigation with extensive contact with clients and opposing counsel. This is an excellent opportunity for proactive and passionate attorneys who are eager to assume a high-level role within a sophisticated practice. The position involves significant responsibilities in all aspects of labor and employment law, requiring extensive interaction with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor.
  • Must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of California.
  • Must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice during employment.
  • Must have California license.
  • At least 3+ years of traditional labor experience.
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Strong writing and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Representing premier local and national employers.
  • Handling labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, collective bargaining, and union campaigns.
  • Taking on a significant role in employment litigation defense.
  • Engaging in extensive contact with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Assuming a high-level role within a sophisticated practice.
  • Managing significant responsibilities in all aspects of labor and employment law.
  • Interacting extensively with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel.
