Labor And Employment Attorney
About The Position
We are one of California's largest litigation firm, and we're seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join our highly regarded team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney looking to handle sophisticated employment litigation alongside some of the state's most accomplished trial lawyers. Billables are ~2000 and compensation is up to $300K base + additional incentives. Trial experience is required. This role is on-site. The ideal candidate will have strong experience representing employers in all aspects of employment law, including single-plaintiff matters, wage and hour disputes, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and PAGA litigation. Candidates should be comfortable managing cases from inception through resolution while working directly with clients in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of labor & employment litigation experience
- Experience defending employers in California employment matters
- Strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws
- Experience handling discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearances
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Admission to the California Bar in good standing
- Trial experience is required
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse employment litigation caseload
- Draft and argue substantive motions
- Conduct depositions and oversee discovery
- Represent clients at mediations, hearings, and trials
- Provide strategic counseling to employers on employment-related issues
- Collaborate with experienced trial attorneys on high-profile matters
