About The Position

The Labor and Delivery Nurse is responsible for the planning and provision of nursing care to patients and their families throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. This includes addressing emergency situations and assisting in C-Section procedures. The role involves supervising and delegating care responsibilities to ancillary personnel in accordance with their scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers before, during, and after childbirth.
• Monitor the condition of patients throughout the labor and delivery process.
• Assist in emergency situations ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and infant.
• Support and educate families during the childbirth experience.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless care experience.
• Delegate tasks to ancillary personnel as appropriate based on their training and scope of practice.
