About The Position

The Labor and Delivery Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. This role encompasses the management of emergency situations and includes responsibilities for circulating during Cesarean sections.

Requirements

• Current nursing license in the state of employment.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in labor and delivery nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver nursing care for patients throughout the labor and delivery process.
• Provide support and education to families during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and respond to any medical emergencies.
• Circulate for C-Sections and assist in surgical procedures as required.
• Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel in accordance with their scope of practice.
