The labor and delivery unit comprises 26 beds and is staffed by 112 professionals. The team includes a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), nurses, Surgical Technologists (ST), unit clerks, Anesthesia Technicians, and OB Hospitalists for both day and night shifts. Patient ratios vary based on circumstances, with 1:1 for high-risk labor and c-sections, 1:2 for antepartum, PPROM, PTL on magnesium, and postpartum on magnesium, and 1:3 for postpartum with no baby and outpatient care. The unit is equipped with Neptune suction machines, Allen stirrups, Ligasure and cautery machines in every operating room, PPH carts, NRP emergency carts, delivery carts, and GE fetal monitors. The electronic medical record (EMR) systems used are CPN Gold and Meditech. The unit values collaboration and team support, offering self-scheduling options for improved work-life balance and a team nursing approach with emphasis on mutual support among staff. There is a strong leadership team that is accessible and actively involved in patient care. Many staff members have extensive experience, ranging from 20 to 40 years. A new OB Hospitalist program enhances support for nurses in triage and residency programs. We welcome motivated candidates seeking a dynamic work environment in a supportive and experienced team.
