Labeler EM: (Line 3) Thurs 12:30am-6:30am, Thurs-Sat 6:30pm-6:30am
About The Position
The Labeler is responsible for safely labeling products with appropriate labels according to the production schedule. This role ensures product labels meet production schedule specifications, manages label materials, and verifies that all product labeling is correct with customer orders. The Labeler will load labels into the machine, record information from label boxes, and ensure labels match the code on the can. Adjustments for label alignment and glue adhesion will be made, and the ability to perform changeovers and maintain machine speeds is required. Recording downtime is also a key responsibility. The position requires participation as a member of the team, fostering cohesiveness, and supporting team goals and policies. Familiarity with Simmons' operating systems, including quality, security, and office environment policies, is expected, along with understanding the role's impact on these systems and communicating concerns or improvement ideas. The role also includes performing other duties as necessary to support business objectives.
Requirements
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand on feet for the entire shift.
- Must be able to use grasping motion with hands.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
