About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Reference Test Clerk to join its team in Dublin, Ohio. The role supports laboratory operations by preparing, processing, sorting, and routing specimens for testing, resolving specimen-related issues, and assisting clients with inquiries. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with rotating weekends. Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts may be needed based on business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfort with handling biological specimens.
• Ability to accurately identify specimens.
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• High attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet established turnaround times.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs.

Nice To Haves

• Three months or more of specimen processing experience.
• Three months or more of medical or laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for various analyses and testing.
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve customer and specimen problems.
• Send test requests to the proper location and release test results.
• Assist clients with specimen-related requests and inquiries.
• Process specimens to be sent to additional facilities.
• Provide support to various areas of the laboratory.
• Sort, rack, and retrieve samples.
• Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
