About The Position
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Laboratory Technician to perform laboratory testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregate materials to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. This hands-on role involves precision testing and supporting projects that shape community infrastructure. The position is in person.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in construction materials testing.
- ACI, ICC, or other industry certifications.
- Previous laboratory or construction experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing on soils, including classification, moisture content, Proctor, and Atterberg limits.
- Perform compressive strength testing on concrete.
- Perform sieve analysis on aggregates.
- Perform density and other standard tests on asphalt.
- Prepare and label samples for testing.
- Maintain accurate test data and documentation.
- Follow ASTM, AASHTO, and company testing procedures.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Communicate results to project managers and engineers.
