About The Position

Vitalant is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support its life-saving mission by performing laboratory work involving blood component production, labeling, record review, and data entry. The role includes preparing blood components through processes such as centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking, transformation, and filtration. The technician ensures product quality, volume, appearance, and timing requirements, maintains accurate data records and documentation, and labels routine and special components while implementing quarantine procedures. The position is scheduled Sunday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. It is located at 10536 Peter A McCuen Boulevard, Mather, California. The listed hourly rate is $21.00–$21.63, depending on experience, with shift differentials described in the posting.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED required.
No experience required.
Must be able to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be detail oriented and possess strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
Must be able to maintain donor, patient, and employee confidentiality.
Must possess basic keyboarding skills and the ability to handle and operate laboratory equipment.
Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities
