Lab Technician - I
About The Position
The Lab Technician I supports chemical manufacturing operations by performing laboratory analyses, maintaining quality standards, and providing technical support to production teams. The role involves testing production materials, generating and reporting accurate data, maintaining laboratory equipment and records, and collaborating with production, quality, and technical teams. The technician also supports process optimization and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. This is a 100% onsite position working a continuous 28-day DuPont rotating schedule. Four crews provide 24/7 coverage through 12-hour shifts alternating between days and nights. Employees average 42 hours per week and receive a consecutive seven-day break every four weeks.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in a STEM field; or Associate of Science in a STEM field with 2 years of experience; or a high school diploma with 4 years of experience.
Nice To Haves
- At least 2 years of previous chemical manufacturing laboratory experience.
- Experience with LIMS.
- Experience with SAP.
- Experience with Auto Titrators, FTIR, and relevant software (OMNIS, Tiamo, OMNIC).
- Wet chemistry experience.
Responsibilities
- Analyze production materials and interpret data to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain and operate laboratory equipment and ensure accurate laboratory records.
- Report test data and maintain required documentation.
- Provide technical support to production staff.
- Support special projects as assigned.
- Review processes and procedures to identify improvement opportunities.
