About The Position
Saint Luke's is seeking a full-time day-shift Lab Support Technician to perform patient collections at Bishop Spencer Place nursing home. The role collects patient samples using phlebotomy best practices, documents receipt of samples in the Lab Information System (LIS), and prepares samples for analysis. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no weekends.
Requirements
- Applicable experience: less than 1 year.
- Experience in a laboratory and phlebotomy is highly preferred.

Responsibilities
- Collect patient specimens in accordance with laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Correlate patient samples with provider laboratory test orders in the LIS/EMR.
- Perform and report point-of-care laboratory testing as required.
- Use education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that could interfere with accurate sample collection.
- Communicate with nursing and unit staff about patient collections.
- Document receipt of patient samples in the LIS and prepare them for analysis.
