About The Position

Desert View Hospital is a 25-bed, acute care hospital set in a rural community. Desert View provides safe and competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. We provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures. Acts as general supervisor over assigned lab activities and requires no direct supervision, able to work alone.

Requirements

Three (3) years experience as Medical Technologist or Clinical Lab Specialist is required.
One year supervisory or two (2) years lead experience required.
General bench tech skills required to provide coverage in all modalities.
Certified as general supervisor under Nevada State Board with MT (ASC) or equivalent registration.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide high quality of patient care appropriately (specific age competent).
Must possess appropriate people skills, organization and attention to detail.
Must desire to act as a resource and provide assistance as required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in relevant science is preferred.
