About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join its team in Greenville, North Carolina. The Specimen Accessioner performs clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting, and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment, following established standard operating procedures. The role supports the accurate processing of healthcare tests and requires careful handling and documentation of specimens.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Comfort handling biological specimens.
Ability to accurately identify specimens.
Experience working in a team environment.
Strong data-entry and organizational skills.
High level of attention to detail.
Experience with MS Office.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to pass a standardized colorblindness test.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
Accurately identify and label specimens.
Pack and ship specimens to the appropriate testing facilities.
Meet department activity and production goals.
Prepare and store excess specimen samples properly.
Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
Resolve and document problems with specimens.
Perform clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting, and data entry according to established standard operating procedures.
