Lab Microbiologist- Dakota City, NE- C Shift
About The Position
The Lab Microbiologist works in a food safety laboratory, performing procedures and work instructions in chemistry, analytical, microbiological, and quality systems. Accuracy and precision in completing work and collecting data are essential. Team members are expected to demonstrate proficiency and continued growth following training. The role requires the ability to carry out complex instructions and operate sophisticated equipment without close supervision, work independently, and resolve routine problems. The successful candidate will maintain ISO records for process control, follow quality system and safety requirements, and cross-train to cover specific areas when other team members are absent. Other duties may be assigned. The position works Monday through Friday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., with some Saturdays. Candidates must reside in the United States. The role does not support sponsorship. The successful candidate must be able and willing to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Good reading, verbal, and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves
- College-level courses or a degree in chemistry, microbiology, or a related science field.
- Previous laboratory experience or technical training in a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Labware LIMS applications.

- Cross-train and substitute for absent team members in designated areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
