About The Position

The Lab Manager owns the day-to-day operations of an engineering lab that supports the design, development, and testing of next-generation Apple hardware. Initially, the role is a highly technical individual-contributor position, responsible for running experiments, operating and calibrating equipment, and directly supporting engineering programs. The Lab Manager keeps the lab safe, organized, and available, and serves as the primary technical escalation point for complex test setups or equipment failures. The role partners with engineering, facilities, and EHS teams to plan lab layouts, allocate resources, and support new equipment installations. As the lab scales, the Lab Manager will hire, onboard, mentor, and manage a team of lab technicians. The position is intended for someone who wants deep technical ownership with a path to building and leading a team.
