About The Position

The Principal Architect, Platform Infrastructure is a senior technical leader who guides how the company builds and operates its cloud and technology systems. The role ensures these systems are secure, well managed, and cost-effective, enabling platform and application teams to do their best work. It spans cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and site reliability, with a major focus on leading the company’s migration to AWS and establishing standard patterns for the Platform Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams. The role partners closely with the leaders of those teams and manages the DevOps and Infrastructure team, with responsibility for its results. The position sets the direction, standards, and roadmap for infrastructure and DevOps. It is focused on platform infrastructure and does not design applications or manage delivery for application teams. The role includes leading migration planning and execution, governing AWS accounts, coordinating with the Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE), AWS account teams, and finance/FinOps partners, and aligning work across platform engineering and SRE. The anticipated annual salary range is $151,600–$252,600, depending on relevant factors including experience and geographic location. The role is anticipated to be eligible for an annual bonus and long-term incentive plan. The company offers health-related benefits beginning on the first day of employment, including medical, vision, dental, and well-being and behavioral health programs. Other listed benefits include 401(k), company-paid life insurance, tuition reimbursement, at least 18 days of paid time off per year, paid holidays, and leaves of absence. For employees working at home occasionally or permanently, an internet connection through a cable broadband or fiber-optic provider with speeds of at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required.
