Lab Associate 2 Clinical
About The Position
The Lab Associate 2 Clinical works in Pathology Support, accessioning specimens or patient tissue materials for testing and packaging materials for shipment to referring laboratories with minimal guidance. The role works closely with laboratory staff, medical staff, and external customers, and provides customer service through professional telephone interactions, basic troubleshooting, and problem resolution. The position includes specimen sorting, triaging, receiving, sending, processing, and batching; pre-analytical sample processing; and general clerical support. Additional duties may be assigned. The role requires one year of relevant work experience and a high school diploma or GED.

- Process samples pre-analytically for testing.
- Provide general clerical support.
- Accession specimens or patient tissue materials for testing.

- Provide customer service, including telephone etiquette, basic troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
