Lab Assistant | Big Lake Clinic
About The Position
CentraCare is hiring a Lab Assistant to support its laboratory setting. The position primarily works at the Big Lake Clinic and may travel to other clinic locations, including Becker, Clearwater, Cold Spring, and Saint Joseph. Students, individuals with patient care backgrounds, and people with some laboratory experience may be a good match. The Lab Assistant collects blood samples, helps create an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients, and performs low-complexity testing and culture set-up. The schedule is a day shift Monday through Friday, with shifts of 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., or 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. The role has no weekend or holiday work and is offered full-time or part-time, at 72–80 hours every two weeks. Starting pay begins at $20.47 per hour and increases with experience; the listed pay range is $19.53–$29.28 per hour. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Basic computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate from, or be in the process of pursuing, a phlebotomy certificate from an accredited laboratory program or medical-related program.
- Patient care background or some laboratory experience.
