About The Position

The assistant educates patients on proper urine, stool, and sputum specimen collection; reviews provider orders for accuracy and occasionally contacts providers’ offices to obtain orders. The position processes specimens according to requirements, including centrifuging, separating, and storing them at appropriate temperatures to preserve sample integrity and testing acceptability.
