About The Position

Quest Diagnostics is recruiting a Lab Assistant I to provide support for an assigned laboratory department. The position is on-call in Troy, Michigan. The role includes handling and distributing samples, supporting laboratory supplies and inventory, answering and directing calls, maintaining the specimen library, and performing waived tests under supervision. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide variety of support for the assigned lab department.
• Pick up samples from accessioning and sort them into appropriate racks.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
• Unpack and store reagents and supplies.
• Inventory and order warehouse supply items.
• Sort samples and distribute them to the appropriate setup hood.
• Manage the specimen library within established time frames.
• Perform waived tests under supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
