About The Position

Moog's Corporate Group is seeking a Knowledge Management (KM) Engineering Manager to join the Knowledge Management Organization. In this role, you will lead an engineering-focused core team responsible for driving knowledge management initiatives across all Moog business units worldwide. You will support strategic priorities defined by Moog’s Chief Technical Officer and the Global Engineering Council, ensuring critical engineering knowledge is effectively captured, stored, and shared to strengthen operational excellence and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Over 10 years of engineering experience, including work with Moog products, systems, and engineering standards
  • Over three (3) years of people leadership experience, including developing and coaching high-performing teams
  • Proven ability to lead through influence and partner cross-functionally to achieve operational objectives
  • Experience effectively leading teams through organizational and process change
  • Continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated success developing strategy and implementing process or program improvements
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Solid technical and project management capabilities
  • Working knowledge of existing Moog data storage and knowledge repositories
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%, as needed
  • Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite, or be willing to relocate. Working from other Moog sites within the US or UK may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Knowledge Management systems and practices
  • Experience in Model-Based Definition (MBD) and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environments
  • Experience with Teamcenter
  • Exposure to or experience with AI development and application

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead a core engineering KM support team executing projects and process implementations aligned with Engineering Council priorities
  • Develop and execute 1 to 3-year KM strategies to close engineering knowledge gaps in key technology areas; partner with engineering leaders to deploy and sustain KM practices within their organizations
  • Collaborate with senior technical experts and subject matter experts to capture critical product family knowledge through design guides and standards, fostering a strong culture of knowledge sharing
  • Partner with Digital Engineering Center of Excellence to ensure knowledge capture aligns with future-state systems and is accessible, usable, and scalable
  • Define, measure, and continuously improve KM effectiveness through metrics and feedback
  • Deploy training and awareness programs that promote KM system usage and best practices across engineering
  • Work closely with KM Business Partners, Instructional Design, and Data Analytics teams to ensure enterprise KM alignment
