Knife Assembler - 1st shift, M-TH, starting at 20.39hr
About The Position
The Knife Assembler performs a variety of operations to assemble and label knives and pack products using blister-packing equipment. The position is located in Jackson, Tennessee, and the posting identifies it as a first-shift role, Monday through Thursday, starting at $20.39 per hour. The work includes fitting component parts during assembly, applying labels to knife bodies, visually inspecting products and sorting defects, and placing completed parts in appropriate containers. The assembler also loads cards, blisters, and products onto the blister-packing machine, activates the equipment to seal packages, and packs the finished product.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
- Assemble knives by placing parts on a bench or in a fixture and fitting component parts.
- Apply the proper label to knife bodies.
- Visually inspect products and sort defects according to quality criteria.
- Remove completed parts to the appropriate container.
- Set aside obvious defects for rework or scrap.
- Load cards, blisters, and products onto the blister-packing machine.
- Activate equipment to perform the sealing operation.
- Pack products.
