About The Position
The Kitchen Worker assists the kitchen team in providing healthy meals to students in grades PK4–8. Under the supervision of the Chef, the role involves preparing and serving lunch to students and staff in the school cafeteria. The position follows the school calendar and is scheduled Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Requirements
- A good attitude.
- Ability to work from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. following the school calendar.
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Kitchen work experience; training is available for candidates without this experience.
- Experience working with children.
Responsibilities
- Comply with food and safety regulations at all times.
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals to students and staff in the school cafeteria.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas and equipment.
- Handle kitchen equipment with care and report necessary repairs promptly.
- Clear dirty plates and silverware after meals in the cafeteria.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
