About The Position

This role is for a Kitchen Supervisor at Denny's, responsible for supporting the General Manager in overall restaurant operations, execution, management, and supervision of staff. The position also involves assisting with the kitchen's operations to ensure consistency in quality and finances. The team is described as committed, caring, and energetic individuals who contribute to the diverse and great atmosphere of Denny's locations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Kitchen supervisor.
  • Agility to interpret and analyze financial statements.
  • Effective communicator in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Team player, collaborative and attentive.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask effectively.
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada (as a citizen, resident or holding other current and valid work permit).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the integrity of the Denny's brand by monitoring and directing the activities for the restaurant and employees, focusing on the quality of Kitchen operations and sanitation.
  • Bring awareness of food cost budget to the restaurant and employees' focus on the profitability of the Kitchen operations.
  • Assist with ordering, scheduling, interviewing, and hiring for the restaurant.
  • Assist in the organization of storage areas, order guides, Prep and Pull sheets and Temperature charts.
  • Ensure that all kitchen shifts are properly staffed.
  • Help Denny’s achieve its mission by adhering to Denny's Brand Standards and internal policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to guest satisfaction and Denny’s Core Values when interacting with others.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
