About The Position

The Kitchen Steward is responsible for cleaning and maintaining floors and walls in designated food service areas, as well as sanitizing the entire kitchen area. This role involves collecting and removing trash, adhering to safety and sanitation standards for chemical use, and maintaining inspection readiness at all times. The steward will use and maintain equipment according to guidelines and report any issues to the Executive Chef/Sous Chef. Additionally, the position requires performing other assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • Organizational skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • One (1) year experience in related field
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the New York State Gaming Commission

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or G.E.D preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collects and removes trash from all areas of the operation following established procedures.
  • Consistently adheres to RWC information related to the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace.
  • Maintains inspection readiness always.
  • Uses and maintains equipment per manufacturer and department guidelines.
  • Report all issues or maintenance defects to the Executive Chef/Sous Chef.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
