About The Position
Camp Greenville, an overnight camp established in 1912, is located on 1400 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains, offering scenic views. It hosts boys and girls from various regions for summer camps, retreats, and specialty camps, providing an experience in the outdoors of Western North Carolina and South Carolina. The YMCA of Greenville is seeking Kitchen Staff to join the team at YMCA Camp Greenville. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to work long non-traditional hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Certification with ServSafe.
- Able to stand, lift up to 50lbs, see, squat, twist and reach.
- Open to learning new skills.
Responsibilities
- Helps support the mission of Camp by assisting cooks with meal preparation.
- Provides excellent customer service by maintaining a clean and safe dining hall environment.
- Able to work on their own without close supervision.
- Communicate with staff and customers.
- Completes scheduled shifts in the kitchen.
- Prepares the salad bar or cereal bar for each meal.
- Washes dishes and kitchen equipment after each meal.
- Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers
- Attend/complete required abuse risk management training
- Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers
- Follow mandated reporting requirements
- Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities
