About The Position

Camp Greenville is an overnight camp established in 1912 that hosts boys and girls from throughout the region and the world for summer camps, retreats and specialty camps. Located on 1400 acres on top of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Camp Greenville offers beautiful views and traditions that have made it a special place for over 100 years. The YMCA of Greenville is seeking a cause-driven leader who desires to make a major impact in the community to join our team as Kitchen Staff of YMCA Camp Greenville. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Ability to work long non-traditional hours, including weekends and holidays.
Certification with ServSafe.
Able to stand, lift up to 50lbs, see, squat, twist and reach.
Open to learning new skills.

Responsibilities

Assists cooks with meal preparation to support the mission of Camp.
Provides excellent customer service by maintaining a clean and safe dining hall environment.
Works independently without close supervision.
Communicates with staff and customers.
Completes scheduled shifts in the kitchen.
Prepares the salad bar or cereal bar for each meal.
Washes dishes and kitchen equipment after each meal.
Adheres to policies related to boundaries with consumers.
Attends/completes required abuse risk management training.
Adheres to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers.
Follows mandated reporting requirements.
Adheres to job-specific abuse risk management responsibilities.
