About The Position

Chick-fil-A Highland Commons Owner/Operator Bradley Spurlock is seeking an experienced Back of House Director to join their team. This is a high-level leadership role where you will partner directly with the Owner/Operator to build systems, develop leaders, and drive operational excellence across the Back of House. This is an opportunity to shape a growing restaurant, build a high-performing leadership team, and have the autonomy to improve processes, coach leaders, and create an operation that positions the restaurant for long-term growth. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing people, leading with excellence, and making a lasting impact.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Strong understanding of Back of House operations, including food safety, inventory management, and operational systems.
  • Experience coaching, developing, and holding leaders accountable.
  • ServSafe Certification required.
  • Open availability, including opening and closing shifts, Saturdays, and restaurant holidays (excluding Sundays).

Nice To Haves

  • Massachusetts ChokeSafe Certification (preferred; employer-paid training available).
  • Massachusetts Allergen Awareness Certification (preferred; employer-paid training available).
  • Chick-fil-A experience strongly preferred.
  • High integrity with a servant-hearted leadership style.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary leader for all Back of House operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, food safety, and operational excellence.
  • Build and lead a high-performing Back of House leadership team by coaching, mentoring, and developing Shift Leaders and future Directors.
  • Create and strengthen systems and processes that improve consistency, efficiency, and overall restaurant performance.
  • Own inventory management, truck ordering, food cost, labor efficiency, and Back of House scheduling.
  • Establish a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement while protecting the positive team culture.
  • Partner closely with the Owner/Operator to identify opportunities for operational growth and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Help create the operational stability that allows the Owner/Operator to invest more deeply in leadership development, community engagement, and growing the business.
  • Play a foundational role in building a restaurant known for developing leaders, serving the community, and delivering remarkable guest experiences.
