About The Position

Active Day provides personalized care to seniors and adults with special needs through communities centered on compassion and trust. The Housekeeper helps create a warm, welcoming, clean, sanitary, comfortable, and safe environment for members and employees. The role includes cleaning and maintaining assigned areas according to established standards, complying with health and safety regulations, and supporting meal service with dishwashing and light food preparation as needed.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong prioritization and time management skills.
• Customer-oriented and friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
• Sanitize member areas such as tables, bathrooms, and kitchens.
• Remove trash from the facility daily.
• Inspect rooms to ensure they meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• Assist the Kitchen Manager with dishwashing and light food preparation as needed to support meal service.
• Properly handle and protect equipment, and report any deficiencies.
• Follow health and safety rules and company policies.
• Complete other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
