About The Position

Home Surplus is hiring a Kitchen Designer to help customers plan kitchens and support sales. The role uses 2020 design software to create kitchen layouts, helps customers choose options suited to their budget, style, and needs, and provides a consultative customer experience. Depending on experience, the successful candidate may begin as a Design Associate or Senior Designer, with opportunities to advance as the company grows.

Requirements

• Experience with 2020 Design or similar software.
• Knowledge of kitchen fixtures and basic residential construction.
• Strong listening, organizational, reliability, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Enjoyment of consultative selling to help customers make informed choices.
• Ability to work retail hours, including some Saturdays.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.

Responsibilities
