About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking cleaning team members to assist overnight. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the BOH kitchens and ensuring the highest standards of sanitation. As part of our team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll assist the kitchen staff in maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and all storage areas, specifically for cleaning all equipment, utensils, and the physical work area. You’ll also be assisting with proper food storage and rotation.

Requirements

1+ years of experience in a Stewarding and/or Dishwasher capacity for a high-volume/fine dining/Restaurant/Food and Beverage Outlet/ Banquet Department or production kitchen helpful but not required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, work under pressure and meet deadlines with particular attention to detail.
Possibly exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Must be able to work in close quarters or small rooms and is occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet and/or humid condition.
Must be able to work and be flexible with all shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize commercial kitchens including prep stations, production areas, floors, etc. to meet cleanliness and sanitation expectations.
Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service always.
Ability to effectively deal with internal customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger. Collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
