About The Position

Alto Tavares Senior Living by Allegro is hiring a full-time Kitchen Assistant for its dining team in Tavares, Florida. The role supports meal preparation, plating, and service for residents; washes and sanitizes dishes and kitchen equipment; and helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen. The Kitchen Assistant also assists the Cook as needed and contributes to smooth, efficient dining operations and a welcoming, high-quality dining experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No certifications are required. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, demonstrate awareness of safety practices, and pass a criminal background screening. The community is a drug-free workplace. Food service or related experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Some kitchen or food service experience is preferred.
A minimum of six months of food service or related-field experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation, plating, and service for residents.
Set tables and bus tables.
Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, flatware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Properly maintain dishwashing equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment and complete cleaning duties.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
Assist the Cook as needed.
Work with the Dining Services team to support smooth, efficient, and safe kitchen operations.
Pay attention to food presentation and taste, and respond courteously to residents and associates during meal service.
