About The Position

Alto Tavares Senior Living by Allegro is hiring a full-time Kitchen Assistant for its dining team in Tavares, Florida. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Kitchen Assistant supports meal preparation, plating, and service for residents; washes dishes and kitchen equipment; and helps maintain a clean, organized, safe kitchen. The role also includes setting and bussing tables, assisting the Cook as needed, and completing cleaning duties. The Kitchen Assistant works as part of the Dining Services team to help ensure safe, smooth, and efficient kitchen operations and a warm, high-quality dining experience for residents and associates.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have an awareness of safety practices.
Must pass a criminal background screening.
The Community is a drug-free workplace.

Nice To Haves

At least six months of food service or related-field experience is preferred.
Some kitchen or food service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation, plating, and service for residents.
Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, flatware, and kitchen equipment.
Properly maintain dishwashing equipment.
Set tables and bus tables.
Assist the Cook as needed and complete cleaning duties.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
Work with the Dining Services team to support smooth, efficient, and safe kitchen operations.
Pay attention to food presentation and taste and respond courteously to residents and associates during meal service.
