About The Position

Mars is seeking a Lead Operator to join its factory team. The role is accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, and pieces of equipment, as well as operational decisions at line level, to achieve targets and coordinate resources. The Lead Operator serves as a first point of contact for technical issues with production machinery and leads repairs of mechanical breakdowns. The role also involves leading, coaching, and training associates assigned to the line.

Requirements

• Educated to GCSE level.
• Mechanical training or a mechanical background is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience leading or coordinating a small team of associates.
• Experience in FMCG or high-speed production.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a small team of operators and temporary associates to achieve line targets.
• Identify and repair mechanical breakdowns on various machinery.
• Be accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, or pieces of equipment.
• Assist operators with daily production tasks to ensure line targets are met.
