About The Position

The Kinesiologist position at Lifemark, Canada’s largest physiotherapy company, is based at the Synergy Health Centre clinic in Victoria, BC. This role is integral to enhancing the health and well-being of Canadians through movement, expanding access to care, and creating lasting impact in the communities served. The Kinesiologist will work within a dynamic outpatient clinic, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists, massage therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, naturopaths, and administration staff. The clinic, located in Saanich, Victoria, is a bright, clean, comfortable, and friendly setting with a full rehabilitation gym and several treatment rooms, specializing in pelvic, vestibular, and concussion health management. The role involves providing comprehensive, individualized care to support recovery and successful return to work and daily function for clients recovering from motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries, as well as supporting veterans, Canadian Armed Forces members, first responders, and private outpatient clientele. New graduates are welcome to apply and will receive structured mentorship and coaching.

Requirements

  • Registered and in good standing with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists.
  • Passion for your profession and commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, time management, computer and documentation skills, with excellent report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Access to own vehicle & BC driving license for the JSV work.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably with clinical outpatient private rehabilitation experience as well as working with Veterans in areas such as Functional assessments (we will train), WorkSafe CRP Program, ICBC, JSV, return to work, mental health, and musculoskeletal/orthopedic injury.

Responsibilities

  • Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist.
  • Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs.
  • Utilize e-charting software to document client sessions; submit reports to stakeholders promptly.
  • Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals.
  • Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge.
  • Ensure return-to-work plans with the client and employer have been made and documented in the client's chart.
