About The Position
Inspire Charter Academy is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher to help students achieve their academic and personal potential. The school serves students in grades K–8 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and emphasizes academic achievement, creative and critical thinking, real-world problem solving, and character development. Teachers use the school’s curriculum and available curricular resources to address student needs and support academic success. The role involves creating an engaging, learning-conducive classroom, using student data to guide instruction, and working collaboratively with teachers and support staff. The teacher will also participate in professional development and orientation activities. Inspire Charter Academy offers monthly professional development, weekly coaching, and on-the-spot coaching for teachers.
Requirements
- Hold a valid teacher license or meet alternative requirements.
- Be willing to pursue alternative certification with support from National Heritage Academies, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate professionally with fellow teachers and support staff to meet each student’s goals and individual needs.
- Create, manage, and participate in professional development and orientation activities.
- Create an engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Implement the school’s curriculum and curricular resources based on students’ needs.
- Analyze and use student data to inform teaching.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
