About The Position
Windemere Park Charter Academy in Lansing, Michigan, seeks a Special Education Teacher to provide specially designed instruction tailored to students’ individual needs related to their disabilities. Services may include resource room, inclusion, and/or pullout instruction. The teacher participates in professional development focused on special education curriculum and data-tracking tools. New staff receive mentorship and ongoing development, including bi-weekly new-teacher cohort sessions and weekly grade-level meetings. The role is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000.
Requirements
- Hold a valid teacher license or meet alternative requirements. National Heritage Academies will support the teacher through an alternative certification journey.
Responsibilities
- Provide specially designed instruction to meet each student’s individual needs resulting from their disability, through services such as resource room, inclusion, and/or pullout instruction.
- Participate in professional development specific to special education curriculum and data-tracking tools.
