About The Position

Join us for the 2026-2027 school year! Assist a certified teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups; monitor and report student progress. We value experience! Previous experience working with students, intervention systems, and small-group instruction is strongly desired. New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR. Payroll Note: While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June. Salary Formula: Hours per day × Hourly rate = Daily rate <> Daily rate × Contracted days = Annual salary. <> Annual salary ÷ Remaining pay periods = Gross biweekly pay. Requirements

Must meet one of the following: 48 college semester hours, An Associate’s Degree, OR High school diploma plus a passing score on the Paraeducator Assessment Exam.
Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.
