About The Position

Teach engaging tennis and pickleball classes for after-school programs serving students ages 5–10, typically with 8–10 students per class. Coaches use provided lesson plans and help create a positive, engaging environment. The role serves multiple Bay Area locations, including the East Bay, South Bay, and Peninsula, and is scheduled for 2–5 hours per week on weekdays and weekends. Compensation is $50–$65 per hour. Coaches transport and set up equipment, handle attendance and student sign-in/sign-out, communicate with parents and staff, and capture session highlights with photos. Unpaid training and shadowing sessions are required to learn the program structure.

Requirements

• Be at least 19 years old.
• Have reliable transportation in the Bay Area.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Enjoy working with children and be able to manage a classroom professionally.
• Be reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be fully vaccinated and willing to complete a background check.
• Be a local candidate and authorized to work in the United States; visa assistance is not available.

Nice To Haves

• Pickleball or tennis experience, either teaching or playing, is preferred but not required.
• Ability to teach more than one sport, including tennis, basketball, dance, volleyball, soccer, yoga, PE, Olympic Hopes, or floor hockey.
