About The Position

The Kids Ski and Snowboard School Kids 7-12 Program Supervisor oversees all aspects of the Kids Program for children ages 7-12. This is a full-time, seasonal position at Purgatory Resort in Durango, Colorado, running from November 14, 2026, to April 4, 2027. Dates may change based on applicant availability and business needs. The supervisor reports directly to the Kids Ski and Snowboard School Manager. The role involves working with children, often outdoors in extreme weather, and teaching lessons as needed. The position offers a free season pass for the employee and their dependents. The budgeted starting rate is $18.50 per hour, with actual pay adjusted based on experience.

Requirements

Intermediate to advanced skiing or snowboarding skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with children.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Must pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

PSIA/AASI Level 1 Certification.

Responsibilities

Schedule staff based on daily business volume.
Manage instructors’ daily timekeeping and payroll.
Work directly with children ages 7-12, often outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
Facilitate check-in, manage class assignments, and support instructors on snow.
Interact with customers and handle customer complaints as needed.
Conduct pre-season goal assessments and end-of-season reviews with instructors.
Support the Adult Supervisors team with daily operations and program coordination as needed.
Maintain compliance with Ski and Snowboard School policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Provide support and care for students in need.
Teach lessons as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of facilities.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
