About The Position

This role provides essential support to the children's ski school and instructors. Key responsibilities include fitting rental boots, adjusting rental bindings, setting up and dismantling the outdoor beginner area, and supervising children. The position may also involve acting as an assistant instructor, helping with lunch supervision, and operating the Magic Carpet. Applicants must be 18 years of age.

Requirements

• Applicants must be 18 years of age.
• Effective communication skills, oral & written.
• Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness.
• Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards.
• Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time.
• Work well as part of a team.
• Patient and remains calm in a fast paced and sometimes stressful work environment.
• Enjoys working with children.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear.
• Must be capable of walking or standing 30 % or more of a normal 8 hour work shift.
• Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 35lbs.
• Must capable of occasionally squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and balancing, able to climb ladders and shovel snow.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
• Computers and printers.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with children ages 3-13.
• Customer service experience in a resort setting.
• Experience with point-of-sale software. (RTP, Inntopia, etc.)
• A Motor Vehicle Record review may be required as part of your job.

Responsibilities

• Assures customer satisfaction with safe, friendly and efficient service.
• Greets children and prepares rental slips.
• Fits ski/snowboard equipment.
• Takes inventory and maintains equipment.
• Responsible for set up and tear down of beginner area.
• May act as an assistant Instructor.
• Support staff duties, supervising children, help with lunch.
• Light cleaning duties Children's Center.
