About The Position

Lead engaging after-school dance classes for students in grades K–5 at elementary schools across the Bay Area. Create a fun, supportive environment where children can learn, express themselves, and thrive. Classes typically run for 1–1.5 hours, start between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., and take place Monday through Friday. The role requires working two or more days per week, for a maximum of 2–5 hours weekly. Compensation is listed as $50–$65 per class and also as $50–$65 per hour.

The position includes up to two days of unpaid training or shadowing. Candidates must be local to the US or have a valid working visa; visa assistance is not provided.

Requirements

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Genuine enjoyment of working with children and effective classroom management skills.
• Flexibility, reliability, punctuality, and a professional, enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication skills and a resilient, positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula.
• Must be local to the US or possess a valid working visa; the employer does not provide visa assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Previous teaching or performing experience in dance is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Energize and manage classes of 8–16 students aged 5–10.
• Teach various forms of dance tailored to elementary school children.
• Attend up to two days of unpaid training or shadowing to learn the program.
• Transport and set up necessary equipment for each class.
• Take attendance and manage student sign-in and sign-out procedures.
• Communicate with parents and school staff as needed.
• Provide constructive feedback on each student’s progress.
• Capture photos of children participating in sessions.
