About The Position

The Kids' Dance Program Leader teaches fun, creative, age-appropriate dance classes for groups of 5–10 elementary school students aged 5–10 at schools across multiple Bay Area locations. The role uses provided lesson plans and helps create a positive, engaging classroom environment. It also involves transporting and setting up dance materials, taking attendance, signing students in and out, communicating with parents or staff, and capturing session highlights with photos. The position offers a part-time schedule of 2–5 hours per week on weekdays between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM, at $50–$65 per hour. Up to two unpaid training or shadowing sessions are required to learn the program structure.

Requirements

• Be at least 19 years old.
• Have reliable transportation in the Bay Area.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Enjoy working with children and be able to manage a classroom professionally.
• Be reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be fully vaccinated and willing to complete a background check.
• Be a local candidate and authorized to work in the United States; visa assistance is not available.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in dance, through teaching or performing, is preferred.
• Ability to teach more than one sport, including tennis, basketball, pickleball, volleyball, soccer, yoga, PE/Olympic Hopes, or floor hockey.
