About The Position

As a Keyboard Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help grow and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s musical development and enjoyment. The role also includes building trusting partnerships with students and families through frequent communication about goals and progress, and contributing to a welcoming store culture grounded in integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as keyboard.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area to be taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child.
Share and discuss student goals and progress with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
